| Kent Whiteside I started working for Mr. Miller in 1973 when I was 17 years old, a junior at Normal Community High School. In 1981, I started Whiteside Woodworking. In 1987, Mr. Miller retired and my father -in-law and I purchased Miller-Cabinet Shop and we combined the two businesses. My father-in-law and mentor, was Ed Huffington. He worked for Mr. Miller for over 30 years. He retired in 1997. Since then, the Whiteside family has carried on the tradition that Mr. Miller started over 50 years ago. We feel our business continues to survive and thrive due to the cycle of quality workmanship and service which generates happy customers, who tell their friends and neighbors, who call Miller-Whiteside. |
